EUSR SHEA Gas Training

A one-day health, safety and environmental awareness course for people working on operational gas sites. AP Safety Solutions delivers private company training for groups of three or more, live online or face to face by arrangement. Individual places are not available.

Course Content

Module 1: Understanding our workplace responsibilities

An exploration of legal duties and the essential role each individual plays in maintaining a safe and effective working environment.

Module 2: Understanding the effects of our work on the environment

Focuses on identifying potential environmental impacts of gas operations and implementing measures to prevent pollution and minimise waste.

Module 3: Identifying and controlling risks

Covers the principles of risk assessment, teaching how to spot workplace dangers and apply the hierarchy of control effectively.

Module 4: Common hazards and controls in the workplace

Examination of typical site-based hazards, including work at height and vehicle safety, with practical steps for daily prevention.

Module 5: Occupational health hazards

Awareness of long-term health risks such as noise and hazardous substances, prioritising the physical wellbeing of the workforce.

Module 6: Responding to emergencies

Essential guidance on reacting appropriately to accidents and incidents, including fire safety procedures and emergency communication protocols.

Module 14: Highway working and excavations (Gas)

Specialised safety procedures for managing gas industry excavations and working within public highway environments safely.

Module 15: Pressure regulating installations

Safety protocols specific to pressure management systems, highlighting terminal and district installations' unique operational risks.

Module 16: Safety in premises

Covers critical safety measures for gas work within domestic and commercial properties, including customer care and risk reduction.

How is SHEA Gas training held?

We host sessions via live online classroom or face-to-face at your company premises by specific arrangement.

Minimum and maximum group sizes

Minimum of 3 candidates. Max 10 for online or 12 on-site. We only book exclusive company-wide training groups.

Essential candidate requirements

1. Valid Photo ID. 2. PC/Tablet with camera and microphone (no phones). 3. Attendance for the full group session time.

Can I book for just myself?

No. Individual bookings are unavailable. We strictly provide exclusive company courses for 3 or more candidates per group.

Is the EUSR ID card included?

Successful completion allows EUSR registration. This is a safety qualification; site access requirements are set by employers.
